# Free grammar checker for clearer writing

Blurwrite's free grammar checker fixes grammar, spelling and punctuation. Paste a sentence or draft to start. Grammar checks are unlimited on every plan, and you can use the tool without an account.

## How it works

Paste your sentence, review the issues and choose the corrections that fit your meaning.

1. **Type or paste your text**
Put your sentence or draft into the editor. Grammar checks automatically, so you can start reviewing as you write.
2. **Read the Issues list**
Review the entries under “Issues”. Use “Show issues by category” to focus on one kind of correction at a time.
3. **Choose which changes to make**
Apply the corrections you want. “Fix all” applies the first suggestion to all open issues or the selected category. Use “Dismiss” to set aside an issue, or “Ignore word” to exclude a word from this and later checks.
4. **Review your edited sentence**
Use “Check again” after editing. Read the updated sentence as a whole to make sure the wording expresses what you mean.

## Questions

### How can I check if my sentence is correct?

Paste the sentence into Blurwrite and review the issues it finds. Read each suggestion alongside your sentence, then decide whether the change fits your meaning. After editing, use “Check again” to review the new wording. This gives you a practical way to check a sentence before you send or submit it.

### Can a conversational AI tool check grammar?

Yes, ChatGPT can suggest grammar corrections when you ask it to proofread a sentence. Give it a clear instruction to explain the proposed edits. For a focused editing workflow, paste the same sentence into Blurwrite and work through the issue list before revising the rest of your draft.

### Can a document editor check grammar?

Yes, Google Docs offers spelling and grammar suggestions for supported languages. You can use that feedback while drafting a document. To review a passage with Blurwrite, copy it into the grammar checker and work through the identified issues, then use the edited wording in your document.

### Which grammar checker is most accurate?

The most accurate grammar checker for you correctly fixes errors in the kinds of writing you use. Test an agreement error, a misspelling and a punctuation problem whose corrections you know. Use Blurwrite to inspect the suggestions in context, checking both the correction and whether the sentence still expresses your intended meaning.

### What is the difference between grammar checks and style suggestions?

Grammar checks address language rules, while the separate model pass suggests changes to style and clarity. Blurwrite's grammar pass also includes rule-based style checks. Basic, Plus and Pro add model suggestions for phrasing, such as wordy expressions or vague wording, so you can polish a draft after dealing with its errors.

### Which languages does the grammar checker support?

Blurwrite's grammar checker supports exactly ten languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Polish, Russian and Arabic. To check a sentence in one of these languages, paste it into the editor and review the feedback against the wording you intended. You can start with a short passage before reviewing a longer draft.

### Do I need an account to check grammar?

You can run grammar checks without creating an account. The grammar check is free and unlimited on every plan, so you can check another draft or review the same passage after editing. Start by pasting your text into the tool and use the feedback to guide your next edit.
